Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

Enjoy the smooth, creamy goodness of strawberry ice cream that you made yourself. This recipe makes a delicious frozen treat by combining the sweetness of strawberries with the richness of cream. It tastes like fresh fruit.

Ingredients:

  • 500g fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 300ml double cream
  • 200ml whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Using a blender, blend the strawberries until they are smooth

Put the puree in a saucepan and add the lemon juice and sugar

Stir the mixture all the time over medium-low heat until the sugar is gone

Take it off the heat and let it cool down all the way

Mix the milk, vanilla extract, and double cream in a large bowl with a whisk until everything is well mixed

Add the cooled strawberry mixture and stir until its spread out evenly

Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it according to the machines instructions until its the consistency of soft serve

Cover the ice cream and put it in a container that can go in the freezer

Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until it is firm
