Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined

Divide the batter into four equal portions

Add a few drops of different food coloring to each portion and mix until you achieve vibrant colors

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray

Pour 1/4 cup of colored batter onto the skillet for each pancake

Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on both sides

Repeat with the remaining colored batter

Serve your colorful pancakes stacked up and drizzle with maple syrup or your favorite toppings
