Vegan French Toast

This recipe is a vegan take on traditional French toast. It uses almond milk and a tasty batter to make a tasty plant-based breakfast or brunch option.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vegan butter or coconut oil for frying

Instructions:

In a shallow bowl, whisk together almond milk, flour, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined

Heat vegan butter or coconut oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat

Dip each slice of bread into the almond milk mixture, ensuring its evenly coated on both sides

Place the coated bread slices onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy

Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as fresh fruit, vegan whipped cream, or maple syrup
