These sparkling champagne cookies are perfect for any special occasion. Theyre buttery and sweet, with a hint of champagne flavor for a touch of sophistication. Ideal for parties or as a special treat

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup champagne
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Gold sprinkles or edible gold dust optional

Instructions:

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Mix in the champagne and vanilla extract until well combined

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Roll the chilled dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet

Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingertips

Optional: Sprinkle the cookies with gold sprinkles or lightly dust them with edible gold dust for an elegant touch

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden

Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Serve and enjoy these delightful champagne cookies
