- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the finely chopped onion until it becomes translucent

Once the beef is browned, add the chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper
Stir well to combine
Pour in the yellow mustard, ketchup, and water
Stir until the sauce is well mixed with the meat

While the sauce is simmering, toast the hamburger buns until they are lightly browned
To assemble the burgers, place a generous scoop of the Coney Island sauce on the bottom half of each bun
Add a portion of the seasoned ground beef on top of the sauce
Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot
