Keto Blueberry Maple Syrup Sauce

Young Gay Huntington Beach

Some people who are on a low-carb diet still want the sweetness of maple syrup. This blueberry maple syrup sauce is perfect for them. Its quick and easy to make, and tastes great with blueberries.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum optional, for thickening

Instructions:

Put blueberries, sugar-free maple syrup, and lemon juice in a saucepan

Over medium heat, stir the mixture every now and then for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until the blueberries start to pop and the consistency gets a little thicker

If you want, you can sprinkle xanthan gum over the mixture and keep whisking it for one to two minutes, until its all mixed in and the sauce gets even thicker

Take it off the heat and let it cool down a bit before you serve

Serve hot on top of pancakes, waffles, or desserts that are keto-friendly

Have fun
